Watrium’s portfolio company Flexiteek, makers of the world’s leading synthetic teak boat decking ‘Flexiteek 2G’ and marine products, has acquired F3 Flexiteek Friesland B.V who specialise in the superyacht sector.

The newly acquired company will be known as ‘Flexiteek Superyacht’. Flexiteek Superyacht’ adds an established fabrication centre using the latest CNC technology to supply the superyacht industry. The business has been fabricating decks for new and refit projects since 2014. In March, work starts on a new 4,500 square meter state of the art factory in the city of Sneek, the Netherlands, enabling us to dramatically increase capacity and offer extensive training facilities.

The acquisition follows from establishing a new manufacturing operation, ‘Flexiteek Marine Products’ in Ostroda, Poland, in early 2021. The operation manufactures and supplies panels for the growing OEM market.

Anders Christopher Wilhelmsen, founder and Chairman of the Flexiteek Group concludes “This is an exciting partnership with a highly respected company in the superyacht sector. It allows us to deliver decks to every boat type, from tenders to superyachts. I am also very happy to welcome Fred Dijkstra, the founder and MD of F3, to the Flexiteek management team”
